earth hour

in commemoration of this year's earth hour...i made it known to the practitioners that it would be a lights out class.

it was two great sessions...i conducted the classes in pure calamity...no music, no lights...just poses and breathing. little does one know that amidst all the noises we get from our daily lives...at times, just shutting down a certain sense can bring a lot of peace and focus on oneself. the silence can sometimes be deafening as we focus on our breathing and eventually the heartbeat in itself reminds us all how precious we are.

goodness me...a physical attributed class somehow took a different dimension today and it felt emotional to be in touch with the innerself. i think i gotta do more of such classes.

lights out y'all!!!

turn off the lights and music player. go back to the nature by lighting scented candles, scented joss sticks for relaxation and play music with traditional musical instruments. Isn't that more environmentally friendly?

A foodcourt in Orchard Road will support Earth Hour by turning off the lights at all areas (except preparation area and other areas that require lights to turn on) and lit tealight candles instead. :D

nice one...but a trip to a mall tonight showed many establishment either ignorant of the effort or just not bothered at participating...lights were lit throughout except for the cinema and the dessert shop we were at. oh well...i guess some is better than none!

hope you turn your lights off too dave!

I did not turn my lights off cos I did not even turn on the lights. I was out doing some shopping for necessities. :)

I am dead tired by the time I reach home, and have to do some online research for lodging in Hong Kong. :P
