we have the best police service...not!

it was 11.30 pm, trucks were unloading some heavy machinery. including tractors and jackhammers. 11.45 pm, the idiotics started drilling the road and the tractors started to scoop dirt creating a ditch. why in the world would anyone do that the middle of a residential area at wee hours when everyone is resting (or rather in deep sleep)?

i saw my neighbor walked to the fence and spoke to them...not too sure what was exchanged...but clearly whatever he did, it didn't work. the workers continued their drills and digs. the jackhammer went all out and pounded the tared road with half a second intervals bangs. it was clearly not a good night to sleep.

never mind, bit the bullet and hit the bed...1.30 am, they continued their hammering...it got to a point where it's just intolerable. i called 999 from my cell (hey, it works...you don't need to dial 112 anymore)...made my report to a lance corporal sham

lc : talian kecemasan, boleh saya membantu? (emergency line, can i help you?)
me : cik, saya nak buat aduan. ada pihak tengah mengerudi jalan tengah malam and menganggu ketenteraman awam. (sir, i'd like to make a complaint, there are road works going on in the middle of the night interrupting  the neighbourhood)
lc : cik, biasalar tu, ada juga yang call malam ni pasal mercun lar, orang borak kuat lar...boleh tak untuk malam ni saja cik biarkan (sir, it's normal, we've received calls from the public about firecrackers, human noises, could you please let it slide tonight?)
me : har? macam itu sajer ker? (har? is that it?)
lc : le lah cik, pihak polis banyak kerja sebenarnya... (yes sir, the police are actually very tied up with works...)

what the fuck?

press freedom my ass!

it is exactly for this reason why i'm so adamant about my voting rights...it's been almost a week since the rally. the post rally press conferences from different parties, the ruling government and the rally organizers were given due coverage by media. however, little does one know...media only publish calculated coverage...so, what's the use of fighting for press freedom when you don't even provide unbiased reporting. bull shit!

come on guys!!! your citizens are no longer in the boogeyman days!!! it's beyond the 21st century already...please realize your citizens are smarter and bolder now...

yellow power awakens

what a day! what a day of yellow power! streets were off limits, many were 'house arrested'...what's gotten into this country??? thousands of supporter rallied down the streets with enforcers on the opposite side...tear gas fired, chemically laden water sprayed...the rain came...so did the sun. all in the name of fighting for a fair electoral system.

i have never felt so much emotion for my country until now...as a matter of fact, i couldn't be bothered about the government nor the political arena and fiasco these clowns are showcasing. i haven't exercised my rights to vote in the past two general elections. but the events of july 9 opened my eyes...it woke me up from my dumbness for not exercising my rights...what a fool i've been. the next g.e., i'm game on. i will be heading back to exercise my constitutional rights.

do i agree with public rallies? hell no...i'm sure there are alternative avenues to bring the message across. over the past week, talks of this rally has been exchanged in social networking sites promoting the motion that bersih is mooting. d-day arrived...streets into the city locked down...still, supporters made their way through. a supposedly peaceful walk pass turned ugly when enforcement officers felt threaten by the citizens and started firing tear gas at the demonstrators. trucks with water canon sprayed water (supposedly chemically laden water) to break groups of congregation. for goodness sake...you guys are the one with the weapons...these demonstrators carry nothing. now this is definitely questionable...why so defensive when you have nothing to hide?

no violence...claimed the enforcement during a press conference post rally. but videos from various sources tell a different story. come on...who do you think you're fooling? such disgust...such disgrace to be lying and expecting the citizen to be dumb enough to believe you?? boy...that was your biggest mistake!!! a post pr activity by the prime minister...media showcasing only key messages that the government identified...once again, who you kidding huh mr. prime minister??? what a mockery this is...

i remember meeting abo back in may when singapore was going to have her general election...apparently it was compulsory for the citizens to vote otherwise a fine would be imposed...we don't get that here...as a matter of fact...you are sometimes given money aka "wang ehsan" to vote for a specific party. so, i guess the time has come...to truly appreciate and support the thousands who rallied on july 9...to fight for a fair and justified electoral system.

an awakening has erupted amongst malaysians...not just in malaysia, but a global pandemic where malaysians are present. a sense of awakening unites malaysians worldwide...the quest for liberty ignited.

i respect my country, i love my country but it doesn't mean i agree with how it's run by the people who has been entrusted to do so. therefore, to all malaysian politicians, i dedicate you our national flower (in yellow of course) to please reflect on the national spirit and do what's right...or maybe not do anything at all...your citizens have awaken.

i'm a professional fitness instructor (sequel)

talking about being a professional instructor...sigh.

attended a group exercise and the instructor says that 'it' (to protect the identity of the instructor of course...:P) can't do a full hour class coz 'it' has got 4 classes already. well do i fucking care if you have 4 or 5 classes? heck no!

being a fitness instructor as the name suggest, you need to be fit...so are you telling me that because you have conducted 3 classes and this being your fourth class you are freaking tired? damn...fucking lazy instructor...

but i still gave 'it' a sweet smile at the end...hahaha, how hypocrite can i be?

i'm a professional fitness instructor

being a fitness instructor has its up and down times...if you are good looking or pretty, you can be passed off like a celebrity icon with members jam packing the class you teach, that's one of the many up times...and down times are when you just come into one of the session fully witnessing the unprofessional side of some fitness instructor.

i was the 'lucky' one to have witness one today. the mic unfortunately was not working during this fitness instructor's class...so the instructor went to the front desk to check for replacement. alas...there was none. the instructor stormed back into the class and announced to the whole class that there wasn't any replacement mic and started throwing tantrums by showing a fucked up face, throwing mic belts on the floor and making it known to members that it was a challenging class and if anyone thinks he or she can't make it through half way, please leave the class immediately. this is ridiculous...

the other thing was, instructors are taught to be empathetic towards first timers...this instructor commanded attention and insisted that the first timer kept a constant watch at the instructor's every move...it was hostile...i felt like a firing target...a moving firing target waiting for the instructor to verbally shoot me if i was the first timer.

anyway, cutting the story short...i'm grateful i'm not such an instructor. no matter how bad the situation is...i will never ever lash out at my 'clients'. i guess this distinct characteristic differentiate us, the creme de la creme from the mediocre ones...yes, you...the fitness instructor who showed us all your 'cibai' face...please be a tiny wee bit more professional next time.

direction of stiring your milo and sexual orientation

it is a morning ritual...it's like waking up and brushing your teeth (i know some of you who don't...gross), or even going to the loo and wiping out after that (i still know some of you who don't...).

i would get into office and turn on the machine... as the machine gets booted, i'd take my sacrificial cup and dunk in heaps and heaps of milo (yes, abo, you can be the testament to my addiction) in preparation for the ritual...hot water (boiling preferred) held up about a feet above the cup and slowly poured into the cup...as the powder dissolves in a unanimous marriage, the aroma starts to fill the air of the pantry with yummy thick milo (feels like an orgasm just thinking about it...but no, my sexual life is perfectly fine...i see abo's eyes rolling). then.....in goes the spoon and the ritual of solidifying the marriage through 38 perfect circular motion....ahhhhhhhhhh (perfect satisfaction).

it then struck me...i'm stirring my drink in an anti clockwise direction...38 (sometimes less when i'm in a hurry)...since we're all not straight...is there a correlation to stirring your morning cuppa in the direction where the clock turns (or as the society understands it)...so, do we all non-straight subjects (gay of course) all stir in an anti clockwise manner?

conclusion? i stir anti clockwise...easier for my wrist...don't wanna walk out of the pantry with a broken wrist now do i? get it? broken wrist? hahahaha (ok...not that funny after all...) :P

earth hour

in commemoration of this year's earth hour...i made it known to the practitioners that it would be a lights out class.

it was two great sessions...i conducted the classes in pure calamity...no music, no lights...just poses and breathing. little does one know that amidst all the noises we get from our daily lives...at times, just shutting down a certain sense can bring a lot of peace and focus on oneself. the silence can sometimes be deafening as we focus on our breathing and eventually the heartbeat in itself reminds us all how precious we are.

goodness me...a physical attributed class somehow took a different dimension today and it felt emotional to be in touch with the innerself. i think i gotta do more of such classes.

lights out y'all!!!

electricity is not free...

biatch : excuse me (loudly and nearly bang into my phone that is being charged close to ground).
me : please be careful, there's a phone being charged.
biatch : why are you charging your phone here? this is not right...electricity is not free you know..it's not fair...
me : my phone is dead, i'm just charging for a while.
biatch : you are such a disgrace to the chinese race...
me : do i care?...i don't care...mind your own business lar aunty...
biatch : (continue to mumble...)
me : (unplugged my phone and walked away to a different port...mumbling myself too...)

that was what happened this afternoon at uniqlo. was accompanying my boy to get some socks and undies...only to realised that my phone had completely died on me. so, decided to plug into a socket and get some juice flowing...was hoping to get at least a good 10% charge.

then this short cropped hair aunty (i think she purposely walked in front of me) came buzzing her busy little bootie and exchanged the above crappy conversation.

i guess the questions are...can i or can i not charge my phone at a shop? indeed, she's got a point...electricity is not free...but in times of need, would it be acceptable to 'steal' some power to boost up the device? i was hoping to get enough juice so that i can check into foursquare to earn some badges...hehehe.

also, was she trying to mock the chinese race or is she just being a nasty racist...by the way, you biatch, if you're ever reading this (of course you won't be)...i'm not chinese ok...i'm malaysian!!!

nonetheless, truly...is there anything else free around here now? would you 'steal' electricity if any of your devices are flat?

to choose or not to choose

i guess i've been fortunate enough to be presented with numerous portfolios...then again, like the saying goes, too many cooks spoils the soup...i think there's too many soups now and only one cook.

job opportunity comes and very good job opportunity comes...which one do one chooses?

questions such as what you see in your career path? what do you aspire in 3-4 years down the line...what do you want to achieve? damn...brain cracking questions to think about. how the hell would i know what my career path is...if i did, i wouldn't be working right now no? 3-4 years down the line? heck...i don't even know what's gonna happen to me 3-4 hours later...too far to think about. achievement? i always thought achievement is an on going process...it's like work in progress...never knew one can just stand up and say i've achieved it.

i'm really a person who take things as they come...i don't look too far ahead as i have no control over what's in store for me for the future. but one thing i know for sure, i can always take control of my current situation...i guess right now...status quo would be my best choice for achievement.

deja vous...

history seems to have repeat itself...communities are just recovering from the recent christchurch aftermath and now an earthquake with catastrophic magnitude struck the east coast of japan creating a 10 foot tsunami that came ashore...live coverages everywhere from cnn to wires...i don't know what to feel and will never know how the victims feel.

amidst all the destruction mother nature has brought to the land of the rising sun, there's a sigh of relief that we're somehow safe from all these madness...it also got me thinking...how blessed i am to be in a place spared from natural disasters, in the companion of family, friends and loved ones.

seriously, there's nothing to complain about...take another breath while you can still breath...as you won't know what's gonna hit you next.

prayers are with the people of japan...god speed.

the power of blogging

i recently started to read some blogs of some very interesting local personals. it is very interesting to actually see how people actually put their thoughts down.

while in between classes, i would whip out my phone and check out a couple of these avid blogger's 'masterpieces'...they are an artform in their own ways. they are posted on the sidebar so feel free to check them out.

as i was going through some of their write outs, i realised that blogging is not just a form of cataloging your life...i think it's more than that...it's an avenue for one to escape to...like living in a whole different dimension...and i'm slowly beginning to understand...the power of blogging.

the rabbit discovers...

what a start to the year of the bunny...

getting an opportunity to work for an oil and gas firm (of which i'm still deciding if this is a good deal)...problem is my heart is telling me to stay back and my head is telling to go for it for the experiences and all the resume shit...got ah pui to give me some feedback...talked to a couple of other people...and they all feel that it's best to stay back as the difference in pay is although 35% but to take out the moonlighting bit, it's only a difference of 500 bucks...would it be worth it...damn...so many things to weigh on...ah pui!! anymore words of wisdom?

then today, ah boy found out i had a blog...hahaha...so weird...

anyway, happy bunny years ya'll.
